If you have a Chevy Cruze (2010-2016 models) and need to program a new key without a programmer, you can do it using the built-in onboard programming method. This works if you already have one programmed key, you can add a second key using this method:
Insert the working key into the ignition and turn it to ON for a few seconds.
Turn it OFF and remove the key.
Insert the new key and turn it to ON for a few seconds.
The key should be programmed.
Important Notes:
This method only works on older Chevy Cruze models (2010-2016) with a standard key (not push-to-start).
If your car does not enter programming mode, the key might not be cut correctly or the car may have a security system issue.
For push-to-start (keyless) models, you will need a locksmith or dealership for programming.
